"Trilingual ink artist treading into the waters of digital painting and pixel art in a journey to discover her true artistic potential."
Hey, guys! I'm Zip, and I run a personal art blog called Crossover. I'm a self-taught freelance comic artist, and my current flagship project is a series called 🐊 Gator Buddies, which follows the story of two gators living their lives in relative peace in the Swamplands of North America, while going on adventures with their friends and uncovering some Swamplands secrets and mysteries.
For the longest time I've made traditional work--pencil sketches, inks, and the like. It wasn't only until late September of 2020 that I finally decided to transcend into the plane of digital artwork. Almost all of my work since then has been made on a digital canvas, and it's very visually pleasing to my eyes seeing my portfolio flourishing with color. 😋
My art style is mostly inspired by cartoons, anime, and videogames. I currently employ a style of lineless digital painting, which utilizes a lot of freehand painting and even some techniques I learned from my years of inking. In addition to some self-study art books that I consult for reference, I also use Pinterest as a means to learn new painting techniques.
